The Eagle River Chain of Lakes Association (ERCLA) recently donated $5,000 to the Eagle River Chain buoy program.
ERCLA has supported the program annually for many years. Without donations, there would be no funds to purchase new buoys, buoy lights, and buoy light guards.
The Towns of Washington, Lincoln, and the City of Eagle River each contribute to fund the installation and removal of the buoys. However, there is insufficient money in the municipal budgets to replace damaged and worn-out buoys.
The Town is grateful to ERCLA for its partnership in maintaining this vital program for our residents and area visitors.
