| With many folks doing major clean‑ups right now, Rich, Fred, and Mike are asking everyone to limit what they bring to the Transfer Station so they can keep things moving safely and efficiently.
Items that will NOT be accepted:
- Plastic furniture, plastic barrels, coolers, and other items that cannot be compacted
- Styrofoam sheets, even if broken down
- Large quantities of empty 5‑gallon buckets (such as those from driveway sealing)
If loads are too large or contain materials we cannot process, residents will be directed to the Highway G Landfill.
Cardboard Requirements:
- All cardboard must be cut to 2 ft x 2 ft before arriving at the Transfer Station.
- Anyone bringing uncut cardboard will be asked to step outside and cut it down so the line inside is not held up.
These guidelines are in place to help keep traffic flowing and ensure everyone gets in and out smoothly.
Please stop and follow the directions of the staff member stationed outside the building. They are there to help manage the flow and keep things safe.
And finally, please thank our Transfer Station crew — they are doing an excellent job handling the heavy volume during this busy time of year. |
