The Town of Washington is accepting applications for employment for a permanent part-time Transfer Station Worker.
The Transfer Station Worker participates in activities associated with the orderly operation of the Town of Washington Transfer Station.
This is a permanent part-time position. Hours are Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 8:00 am to 12:00 noon from May until October. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon from October until May.
This is an outdoor position. A warming hut is available during the winter months. Training will be provided.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to inspecting transfer station permits, maintaining orderly flow through the facility, assuring only allowed items are deposited, maintaining a clean appearance of the facility, and communicating with the licensed waste disposal facility.
Qualified candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED certificate. Successful completion of a background check and drug test is required.
Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
