On April 16, 2024, the Valeria Fire burned 2.43 acres. A downed electrical power line caused it. The DNR needed nine pieces of equipment and 15 firefighters to put the fire out at a cost of $1,855.

On October 30, 2024, the Deerskin Fire burned 6.67 acres. It was located about 2.5 miles upstream of Rangeline Rd. in a remote, little-used area near the site of the old Deerskin Dam.

The cause was a campfire that was not properly extinguished.

23 pieces of equipment and 16 firefighters were needed to fight the fire at a cost of $12,340.
