NOTICE OF NEW OR UPDATED ORDINANCES

NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN that at a regularly scheduled meeting held at the Town of Washington Town Hall on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the Town Board of the Town of Washington voted to adopt:
Chapter 24 – Town of Washington Sign Ordinance. The purpose of this ordinance is to provide for and regulate the location and safe construction of signs in a manner to ensure that signs are compatible with surrounding land uses, are well maintained, express the identify of individual proprietors and the Town as a whole, and ensure that signage does not negatively affect public health, safety, and welfare.
All ordinances have been made available for public review and comment in accordance with Sec. 66.0103 Wis Stats. All ordinances may be viewed by contacting the town clerk at 715-479-8886. The ordinances may also be viewed on the town’s website at www.town-of-washington.org.
