REGULAR HOURS ARE 4 PM ON FRIDAY TILL 6 AM ON MONDAY

The brush site will be open on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day

Use of the brush site is a free service to our Town residents courtesy of the Town of Washington Community Wildfire Protection Plan.

It’s located on Rangeline Road directly across from the entrance to the Transfer Station, by the Smokey Bear sign.

Please note the driving surface is not maintained and may be soft and muddy when wet.

You can bring grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, sawdust, branches, brush, limbs, and logs.

NO painted or varnished wood, concrete, boulders, stones, brick, plastic, metal, screws, or nails are allowed.

NO man-made materials.

No railroad ties.

Tarps and non-compostable bags are not allowed!

NO STUMPS.

This is a service to our residents and NO commercial dumping is permitted!

If you hire a contractor to do your yard work, they must dispose of the yard waste at their customary disposal site – NOT the town brush site.

We have compost bins at the brush site. Compost is free. Help yourself!

Wood chips are also free.

Help yourself to any wood you may want to use for firewood!

The brush site is shared with the town’s gravel pit.

You may not take sand or gravel.

The brush site will close on October 27th at 6 AM.
