Welcome to the Town's Website. Nestled in the southeastern corner of Vilas County in northern Wisconsin, the Town of Washington was established in 1914. It has about 1,457 residents and is located just outside the City of Eagle River. Part of the Town is located on the world famous Eagle River Chain of Lakes. The Town Hall is at 2301 Town Hall Road, in the home of the historic old Mayo School.
Governed by two elected Supervisors and one elected Chairperson, the Board understands the need for information availability and recognizes the value of a website to enable year around residents, seasonal residents, and visitors to obtain information at their convenience.
The public tabulation of the ATV survey will be conducted at a special town board meeting on Wednesday, February 17th at 5:00pm at the Town of Washington Town Hall.

The Town of Washington sledding hill is open!
The old stump dump was converted into a sledding hill for the children of our community. You need not be a resident of the Town of Washington to enjoy the hill. For more information click on the Transfer Station page.
